2011: Pushed his career win total to 13 games as a Hawk... earned All-Region honors and All-Conference honors in the Great South Athletic Conference... chosen as the GSAC Pitcher of the Year... started 12 games for the Hawks, posting a 6-3 record, 2.34 ERA and 55 strikeouts... allowed just 21 earned runs in 80.2 innings... enters his senior season with 120 career strikeouts and a 13-8 record.

2010: Managed a 2-3 record with a 4.93 era… appeared in 12 games with seven starts… struck out 30 and walked 14.

2009: Was a member of the GSAC All-Freshman team, after posting a 5-2 record in 14 appearances … recorded a 3.24 ERA, a mark which ranked second in the GSAC … struck out 35 hitters in 50.0 innings pitched, while allowing opponents to hit just .254 … also recorded one save.

Prep: Participated in baseball at Lakeside High School in Atlanta, Ga. … was an honorable mention All-County selection after helping the Vikings to a 19-9 overall record and a second place finish in Region 6-AAAA. 

Personal: Full name is John Hobson Rice … is the son of David and Carol Rice … has an older brother, Ryan, who was also a member of the Huntingdon baseball team … is majoring in History.
